VIM is the primary embedded invoice automation product for SAP S/4HANA. It is certified for S/4HANA, runs inside it, uses SAP Fiori for the user experience, and supports e-invoicing standards, with current format coverage confirmed against OpenText documentation for the countries you operate in. Other vendors integrate with S/4HANA from the outside through application programming interfaces (APIs) or middleware, which is a different deployment model: integrated tools exchange data with S/4HANA, while VIM operates within it and posts directly to FI and MM.
